i was thinking that you should beable to customize every aspect of your character when you make him/her besides the general face, hair, and height attributes. possibly how fat/skinny he/she is or the eye color basically anything that you can customize to make him/her YOURS! also i got this idea from one of the new factions skills *dont recall the name* but it says that your legs are encased in ice, possibly have ice like crawling up your legs almost to your waste, i think that could be a neat effect to add. post anymore unique ideas you may have

Though possibly cool, it would be good to be wary of lag. It would be neat if, on higher graphics settings, fancier effects would be shown (such as the ice as you mentioned). However, by limiting possiblities in character appearance, ANet does make some things easier on themselves. The less variety, the less variables, the less space to store variables, the less bandwidth/server load. While I'd love to see a greater deal of character customization, i just do not forsee such a thing happening due to the nature of the game.

I like the part with the customizing the character part. But there'll have to be like hundreds of options so i'ts like 1/500 people that have the same design as you.

try searching on the customization part...add to and bump the 20 page thread.

And on the ice up the leg part...cool...but unneeded? (Unless they do it for all skills...which would be cool)

Yes, definitely more customization. I'm not sure about the added effects, I doubt Anet would do that.

But still, I see SO many people that look identical to me.

if customizing gets the intense then the game will have major lag issues everytime you hit a town.

You will have to download every-single player in the town at that time, aswell as constant updating as new people come into the towns.
It would be cool, yes. But practical, no.

i really didnt think that it would cause major lag issues, but you probably know better than me as you currently stated i guess thats why they havent put this into action yet. o well

The lag issue isn't as big an issue as people make it out to be, unless they're speaking from the standpoint of seriously substandard machines, in which case there are workarounds. As it stands, several games manage insane customization while also remaining playable with dozens of characters on screen and throwing effects (City of Heroes, anyone?).

I don't think anyone is asking for remotely similar levels of customization to that game, either, so the graphical quality differential is a null point.

I'd like a few more options myself, not the least of which is a hair stylist and the ability to dye said hair, but that's had it's own bazillion threads, eh? So to sum up: yeah, I'd like more options but I'm not overly disappointed with what we have due to its outstanding quality.
